MCM Expo London
A short thread just for sharing notes re MCM 2009. The brief email which directed you here should have most of the data you need. Please post info on anything you are bringing for joint planning purposes.
Re: MCM Expo London
i apologise if this isnt the proper place to post it, but i just want to thankyou for the exhibit at MCM expo. There were some amazing items and clothing (i had to be physically removed from the sonic rifle by my friends or i think i would still be sat there lookin at the space where it was) and honestly, its inspired me to try and design a steampunk outfit for myself.
So once again, thankyou, and i look forward to trying to attend next Septembers Asylum (sadly i missed this years), as well as as many hotel events as possible.

Re: MCM Expo London
We do intend to do more MCM Expos and have been invited to mount exhibitions at them all. We will post here our intention to attend once we confirm with Bryan.
We are looking which Expos we can attend since we do have other events too. (Please check the events calendar of the VSS website to at http://thevss.yolasite.com )

As you know Tinker, I'm involved in Expo on a regular basis with the UK Garrison, so if there's anything I can help with, please just shout!

Re: MCM Expo London
I many times saw how popular the steampunk stand was at Expo and think you'd be crazy not to do something again there. There is i feel quite a steampunk element to many Animes ive seen, so i can see the cross over appeal, plus more furries to hunt of course
Re: MCM Expo London
Perhaps a future stand could feature a pair of elegant victorian style chairs, and a faux fireplace adorned with steampunk type accoutraments, above which a stuffed, mounted Furry head, and the blunderbuss that shot it. Spoils of the Hunt, what?

Re: MCM Expo London
I say Sir that is precisely the conclusion drawn by myself, Mr Harrow and Herr Doktor. We thought we needed a fireplace with armchair and a gentleman's desk. It is an excellent base set up and allows for other people's work to be included - photographs on the wall, pens on the desk, a steamy desk lamp etc.
We would also incorporate such specimens as my dessicated fairy and dragon fossil and Mr Harrow's collection of mounted juvenile Air Kraken.
Now if I can find a suitable chair I quite fancy the idea of building some form of Heath Robinson brandy dispenser into the arm... mmmm ideas, ideas.

MCM Expo May 2010
Following our first class outing to MCM Expo last winter we have been invited to return to xcel London for the next MCM Expo in May.
The organisers would like us to put on another exhibition of steamy goodies and staff it in a most decourous fashion. There may also be involvement in the panel timetable.
Of course we need volunteers once again. Preference would be given to people who have items to exhibit. If possible we would like different objects and outfts to those we showed in October although of course that does not mean the same people can't attend.
Places are limited and this is a very popular event.

MCM Expo 2010 volunteering
Hello there
I'd like to volunteer the services of David and myself to the MCM Expo event at the end of May, however, this is as long as my sister doesn't want to invite us to Bournemouth for some kind of b'day bash, that is. Will have to check with her. Also, unless David has some sort of Wargaming event then - it's the first week of half-term, just before a bank hol, so it is indeed possible there's something going on for him.
